I'm supposed to do a parking lot control system for my final year. The system should use a screen @ the entrance where car owners can give some informatioon like a vehicle registration number. It should also use software that recognizes fingerprints for security reasons. The system should also calculate the total amount the vehicle owner has to pay based on the time spent inside the parking lot.It should also be able to notify the users when the parking is full. It should also be able to notify the owner if their vehicle has been moved or notify the parking guards if there is someone who is trying to get access to someone else's car. And finally, the system should be able to tell the owner where their car is if they forgot where they parked the car, they should be able to enter a registration number and the system should be able to trace wher that car is. My problem is I have no idea whatsoever about parkings and technologies I'm supposed to use to create this system. Please help!!

  

This is a fairly simple project. Buy a fingerprint module if that is necessisty. You have the following options 1) Complete software product 2) Complete embedded product 3) Use a handheld like PDA using a combination of these three is also an option... Kenney

  

Seeing that I have to present this project inside a hall, can you give an idea of how because I won't have a parking lot, cars and the pay station. Is it possible to use toys? Are the parking lot-like and pay station-like toys available? And can you please elaborate further on the options you mentioned on your reply.
