dear sir, I am a final year Btec student.I have an idea to design & implement a VoIP sytem for the internatinal phone call for my final year projec. Use this the customers be able to get overseas call by login to system from any phone, any location. The system configure as a pre-paid system. So I need to provide voice promt for the customers once they dial our local number for authenticat the valid users & valid card. Also i hope to provide a voice menu for the customer to check their account status (acc balance, remaining no. of hours, last call records etc..). And also design & implement a monitoring system to monitor loged customers details, their history, called durations etc. for calculations & future references if any. Actually this is a complete system going to apply in my work place. pls. send me your comment on this sir. I waiting for early reply from u sir. Thanks.

  

Hello, The VOIP need some VOIP gateway to route the internet call to a local phone. Rest can do by configuring a asteric software.

Dear Sir, Thank You very much for ur early reply on this. As u said, I need to configure a VoIP router as a VoIP gateway. Also I have to use T1 multiplexer(ro any other device) to recieve incoming calls from customers. Also need to use a raduis server for user authentication, IVR server for voice promt, maintain database(suppose to use MySql) to keep login records. This project coveres huge area as I feel. And also can learn lot as this is a real world industrial application. Also I have a broad idea about the system because iam working such a enviorenment. So today I propsed this to our university project team. The thing is they did not approved it as there is nothing much to do as a final year engineering student. They expect more creative & innovative thing than that as many companies use such a sytem as well. But, I like the project such as VoIP-based or related topics very much as it is a cutting age technoly. Do u have any other project ideas on VoIP systems. Otherwise any other relating to network system enginnering. I have think about the project 'Virtual Router' which is given in your project ideas. That is also a pretty good idea. Anyway, kinddly send ideas if u have any regarding this.thanks sir.
