Performance analysis of location management schemes for mobile IP

Aim: The aim of the project is the analysis of the location management schemes for mobile IP. This can be done by the simulation of these management schemes using NS-2 simulator. There are three location management schemes namely RR(regional registration),DLMS(dynamic Location Management Scheme) and ALMS(Adaptive Location Management Scheme). The aim of the project is to simulate all the three schemes using NS-2 in linux platform and to prove that the third one is better than the other two. the problem encountered in RR scheme is the network size whereas the feedback of DLMS is that it employs more cost of registration and suffers from packet loss. But the third scheme overcomes all the above problems . It reduces the cost of registration and packet loss .This deals with how a mobile node can communicate after it comes out of the home network.. how the updation of information is going on....
